I also programmed an Android App to control the module for the filtration’s controller. Here’s the main display.

But before being able to use this App, you have to add the Bluetooth HC-06 module to your list of the Bluetooth devices associated to you phone.

By default, the App connects to the last Bluetooth receiver to which it was last connected. If you want to change the module or force it to make the connection, you have to press on the “CONNECT†button. Then, a list of all the Bluetooth modules associated with your phone will appear. Select HC-06 and the App will connect by itself. If it doesn’t work, try again but make sure that no other device is connected to the control module.

Its use is pretty simple. You adjust the number of minutes you want the air filter to work and press on the big button  ‘‘TURN FILTER ON’’. The minutes is the period of time when the filter was previously used; whatever devices has started it.

Next is the ‘‘AIR QUALITY’’ button that displays the quality of the air in the room.

The last button is ‘‘SHOW SETTINGS AND DEBUG OPTIONS’’. This button adds more options to the App. It looks a lot like Windows. I will give you more precision with the next picture.

There are a few differences between Windows and this App. First, there are fewer adjustment options, but it includes the most important of them. There’s also the last line of buttons: ‘‘ADD A STOP BUTTON’’ to the right of the ON button. I was forced to add this option because I use a very old Android phone in my shop and it’s not fast enough to read the information it receives in real time. My recent phone doesn’t need it. So there are ‘‘ON’’ and ‘‘OFF’’ buttons because the ‘‘ON’’ button doesn’t change to an ‘‘OFF’’ button each time it’s in function. It’s the same reason why there’s another ‘‘OFF’’ button at the bottom of the options; just in case the ‘‘OFF’’ button doesn’t appear when the filtration is on. These are the only functions I use with my old Android phone.
